We all know Karim Benzema will lead the way for Real Madrid, but what else can we expect statistically from Los Blancos’ forwards in 2020-2021?

So far in the 2020-2021 La Liga season, there are only two Real Madrid forwards who have scored multiple goals this season. Striker Karim Benzema, of course, leads the way with eight goals in 13 starts. Vinicius Junior has two early-season league goals to his name in 13 appearances, with eight of those being starts.

Benzema is also the team’s leader in assists with five, and there are only three players on Real Madrid with multiple assists this season. In second place is another forward in youngster Rodrygo Goes, who has four assists in La Liga. Unfortunately, Rodrygo will miss the next three months with an injury.

As a whole, Los Merengues have played 15 games this season, meaning there are 23 matches – more than half of the season, 60 percent to be exact – left for the forwards to add to their goal-scoring tally. Real Madrid must do a better job of converting their chances.

Let’s reset our predictions for the forwards for the remainder of the 2020-2021 season and take a guess at how each of the forwards will finish in terms of their goal and assist output in La Liga.
