EDEN HAZARD- SIGNED FROM CHELSEA FOR 100 MILLION EUROS

Well, this could certainly offend several fans. But it is the harsh reality. Eden Hazard simply tops the list as the worst ever signings made by Real Madrid. The Belgian forward was signed for 100 million euros and the transfer fee can go up by another 50 million euros over the years through add-ons.

In short, the most expensive signing in the history of Real Madrid has so far had a cameo role at the club. Injuries have kept Hazard out of action and that is something that the player himself has no control over, however, it still does not change the fact that Hazard’s signing has turned out to be a sheer of Real’s financial sources so far.

The former Chelsea winger has played only 28 games for Real Madrid since completing his move almost two years ago and has only scored 3 goals so far in all competitions. 100 million euros for 3 goals? along with a weekly salary of nearly 400,000 pounds per week? A sheer waste.

In fact, even Michael Owen was a better signing. Despite the Englishman lasting only a season at the Bernabeu that was riddled with injuries, the former Liverpool man managed to find the net 13 times for Los Blancos and boasted the best goal/per game ratio in La Liga that season.

Like it or not, Eden Hazard for me will go down as the worst signing so far and we can only hope that he turns a new leaf soon enough.
