RICARDO KAKA- THE WORLDS BEST PLAYER THAT FAILED AT REAL

Real Madrid went on a spending spree in the summer of 2009 as Los Blancos picked up big names such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Xabi Alonso and Ricardo Kaka. The Brazilian forward was then one of the world’s very best and Los Blancos understandably paid 67 million euros to land the AC Milan man on a six year contract making him the world’s second most expensive signing then.

However, the fairytale move for Kaka and the supprorters did not go to plan. His career was ruined with injuries at the Spanish capital and the emergence of Mesut Ozil saw Kaka lose his place in the starting eleven. Nonetheless, the Brazilian had his moments at the club, however, it was not enough to justifiy the price tag along with the reputation that Kaka had when he signed for the club.

So much so, his lack of game-time at Real had destoryed his career. Kaka admitted that he had acutally fallen out of love with the game that gave him everything during his stint at Madrid.

"“I lost the joy of playing football a bit [in Madrid].”"

A jewel that Real signed in 2009 that never shined bright enough.
