Angelo Mangiante of Sky Sports has claimed that Real Madrid are seriously interested in signing Mohamed Salah next summer to rebuild their attack.

The Real Madrid front-line has not been firing all cylinders since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018. The attack has been rather lackluster apart from Karim Benzema who has taken up the responsibility to find the back of the net on a consistent basis. All the other forwards, including Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio, Luka Jovic are yet to step up and contribute towards goals.

Having said that, Angelo Mangiante of Sky Sports has claimed that Real Madrid has prioritized the signing of Mohamed Salah next summer to solve their goal-scoring issues.

In fact, these rumours could be true given Salah’s recent performance with Liverpool. The player has been criticized for seeming to be distracted/sloppy and unmotivated in the last two fixtures ever since the rumour mill began.

Nonetheless, signing Salah could be a huge step forward for Real Madrid to solve their issues up-front. As of now, Los Blancos face a steep mountain to climb, but with Salah’s goal-scoring exploits and potency in front of goal, the task could be made a lot easier.

The Egyptian has been one of the best performers in the Premier League since his return to the English top-flight. Mohamed Salah has played a pivotal role at Anfield scoring 110 goals for the Reds and helping them win their first-ever Premier League trophy along with the UEFA Champions League.

A potential move to the Santiago Bernabeu for Salah could help solve Madrid’s issues on the right-wing. A frontline of Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema, and Mohamed Salah will undoubtedly be a joy to watch in La Liga and Europe. However, the issue that Real could face would be meeting Liverpool’s price for Salah.
