Sergio Ramos has reportedly slammed Florentino Perez for the opening contract offer made by him, whilst supposedly stating plans of a union with Lionel Messi.

Real Madrid continue to remain deadlocked with Sergio Ramos as there seems to be no breakthrough as yet over a contract renewal. The Spanish defender’s contract at the Santiago Bernabeu ends this summer and effective now, he is free to talk to foreign clubs and potentially even come to a pre-contract agreement for the summer.

Sergio Ramos has affirmed that his loyalties remain in favour of Real Madrid and he is keen on staying, but wants an extension of two years, whereas the Whites are ready to offer him only one year and the current salary itself. Unfortunately, the opening agreement has been turned down by him and in doing so, Ramos has made a sensational revelation.

El Chiringuito reports that the captain has told Florentino Perez that unless he is given the terms he is looking for; he will join Paris Saint-Germain who reportedly have assured him a union with Lionel Messi. The Barcelona winger also sees the end of his deal at the Camp Nou this summer and is in fact closer to leaving his club than Ramos is to leaving his.

Whether there is truth in what Ramos has said or in fact even in what has been reported remains to be seen because he did use Manchester United as bait to renew his deal back in 2016 and this might not be a different instance. Nevertheless, it might be a long way back for Los Blancos if they lose Sergio Ramos too, as is looking likely at present times.

He has given over a decade of loyal service and Ramos certainly deserves a two-year extension, because even at the age of 34, he is at the top of his game and inarguably has been the best central defender in the world for at least the last one year. Only time will tell what happens but speculation will be there in plenty as is the latest talk.
