Which attacking talents should Real Madrid look at the hardest in 2021?

Everyone knows that Real Madrid need goals. For a third straight season, Karim Benzema will have essentially carried Real’s attack, as the Pichichi candidate is currently the only forward on the team with more than two goals scored in the 2020-2021 La Liga campaign.

Benzema is a Real Madrid legend and one of the two best strikers in world football, but it’s obvious he needs help. Los Blancos should be encouraged by what Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Junior can become, and there’s always hope Eden Hazard will be healthy. Even then, however, neither of those players seem like they will be the kinds of wide forwards who can score 20 goals in a season.

Real need to sign a wide forward who can provide that kind of goal-scoring, and they also need to consider a new striker who can replace Benzema one day. Luka Jovic has talent, but it seems like the club wants to move in another direction.

Let’s take a look at five attacking players who should be on Real Madrid’s radar in 2021. Not all of these players can be signed this year, and there are a couple who would indeed be easier to pry away in 2022. But they should, nevertheless, be on Real’s wishlist.
