Harry Kane has been advised to make a move to Real Madrid by a former Los Blancos player. Would the 27-year-old be an ideal signing?

Harry Kane has been one of the most consistent goal scorers in the past couple of seasons in the Premier League. The Englishman has taken his game a gear higher this season under the guidance of former Real Madrid coach, Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese manager has made Kane into a complete striker. From being a fox in the box during Mauricio Pochettino‘s tenure to evolving into a false nine under Mourinho. Kane’s transformation and his new playing style are somewhat similar to that of Karim Benzema.

The only few traits where Benzema would edge out Harry Kane would be his quality to get out of tight-spaces and his build-up play. Meanwhile, Kane has better vision, stronger in the air, equally good with both his feet, and is a much more clinical striker than Benzema.

Could Harry Kane join Real Madrid in 2022 to replace Karim Benzema?

Karim Benzema’s contract is set to expire in the summer of 2022 and it is unlikely that Real will renew terms with the striker since he would be 34-years-old then. Having said that, former Real Madrid player Jonathan Woodgate states, via AS, that he believes Harry Kane should make a move to Los Blancos in order to win more silverware.

A potential move for Harry Kane in 2022 would be the ideal situation. The former Leicester City striker will be 29-years-old then and will be at the peak of his career. His playing style matches that of Karim Benzema which makes him the ideal replacement as well. However, the only issue would be meeting the price tag that Tottenham Hotspur would demand.

Nonetheless, Harry Kane has not yet tasted silverware in his career and a player of his calibre certainly should be lifting trophies. A move to Real Madrid would benefit Kane along with the club as they would receive a more clinical striker to replace Karim Benzema.
