Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is set to provide opportunities to his lesser used players as his side may feature in six matches over the next 3 weeks.

Real Madrid started the year off on a mixed note as they claimed a win against Celta Vigo to start off before cheaply dropping points against Osasuna last weekend. The Whites have dropped points in seven La Liga outings this season and risk falling as many as 10 points behind Atletico Madrid. However, January remains a crucial month in all competitions.

La Liga is just halfway done till this point in time, whereas Madrid also will fight for the Copa del Rey later on. More importantly, Zinedine Zidane’s charges will be in contention of the first piece of silverware of this season- the Spanish Super Cup- a competition in which they face Athletic Bilbao in the semi-final on Thursday evening.

In the 20 days that remain in this month, Los Merengues could play as many as six matches and given the tight schedule and a fully fit squad to couple that with, Zidane is likely to make wholesale rotations whenever possible. Here is a look at the three players who have big opportunities to reignite their presently slow careers with the Santiago Bernabeu outfit.
