Real Madrid see gold as chief target is put up for sale
Real Madrid have been given a major boost as Eduardo Camavinga has been listed for sale by Rennes as his contract expires in June 2022.
Real Madrid have visibly struggled in defensive transitions in the absence of Casemiro from the squad. Federico Valverde and Toni Kroos have adapted to a defensive role when called upon, but the duo comes nowhere close to the Brazilian tank at least in terms of aerial and physical prowess which turn out to be two of the most crucial attributes of a defender.
Zinedine Zidane has continued to deal without a back-up for Casemiro but it now looks like the 48-year-old wants another signing especially with his preferred man now 28. Eduardo Camavinga has been the club’s prime target. The Frenchman is exactly like Casemiro and brings in a dreadful physical presence ahead of the backline with defensive awareness.
Camavinga is just 18 but he has already shown he can become one of the world’s very best having already donned a French senior cap as well. The defensive midfielder is one of the most in-demand players across Europe with the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester United thought to be interested in signing him up as well.
According to OK Diario, Los Blancos have been handed a massive boost as Rennes have listed Camavinga up for sale. The Ligue 1 side has conceded defeat in any potential contract talks with him and prefers selling the player this summer instead of losing him for free next year. His price tag is likely to be around 45 million euros.
Besides the fact that he is listed for sale, Real Madrid can feel bolstered by the fact that the player has revealed admiration for the 13-time European champions over any other suitor. Zinedine Zidane, who has lured many crucial players to the club, may once again prove pivotal with his own presence in bringing Camavinga to the Santiago Bernabeu this year.
