WILFRED NDIDI
Wilfred Ndidi matches the player type that Real Madrid requires. If we look at our bench, Zinedine Zidane lacks a thorough central-defensive midfielder. Federico Valverde has been occasionally slotted in as a holding midfielder, but his explosive nature of playing makes him a better box-to-box midfielder. The other options: Isco and Martin Odegaard are both attacking midfielders.
This clearly underlines why Real requires a player of Ndidi’s profile. He’s a proficient tackler of the ball and is an expert at retaining possession. A possible move for Ndidi this summer would be ideal as he could compete with Casemiro for a starting spot.
The Brazilian midfielder realistically has no competition in the squad for a place in the starting eleven which could be one of the many reasons why he sometimes cuts slack. The addition of Wilfred Ndidi could boost a healthy competition amongst the two while also providing different tactical options to break down oppositions.
