Zinedine Zidane once again should be held accountable for his poor choice of substitutions, which especially saw Mariano Diaz replace a settled-in Karim Benzema for the final few minutes of the match. Not to mention, players like Martin Odegaard and Alvaro Odriozola seem to have been ostracized by the Frenchman.

The 48-year-old was under pressure in the earlier part of the season, but a winning streak saw him escape the tightest of tightropes he has walked in his two tenures at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, he is gradually running out of time and his firing will be far from a surprise especially if such performances from the side become a regularity down the line.
