The board of Real Madrid are growing frustrated with Eden Hazard’s performances as the pressure continues to mount on the player to perform.

It seems like Eden Hazard is living on thin ice at Real Madrid as the club officials have grown impatient with the former Chelsea man. Since his move to Los Blancos in 2019, the Belgian has failed to live up to the expectations as the most expensive transfer in the club’s history.

Against Athletic Bilbao in the semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup, many fans believed that this was the opportunity when Hazard would step up and silence his critics with a masterclass. Instead, the 30-year-old by far was the worst player on the pitch but was yet backed by Zinedine Zidane.

"“I don’t think people are tired of him. You have to be patient with him. He wants to get this out. Today it wasn’t just Eden. We started the game badly, but he did well in the second half.”- Zinedine Zidane on Hazard’s performance."

Zidane might feel that people are not yet tired of his winger, however, the truth is that everyone is already fed-up with Hazard. The club officials are fed up with him and so are the fans.

Meanwhile, Marca has conducted a poll on what Real Madrid should do with Eden Hazard. 44% of the participants have voted that Madrid should sell the winger, while another 25% believe that he must be benched. It seems like Eden Hazard has not only lost the support of the club hierarchy but also that of his supporters.

What is your opinion on Hazard and his tenure so far at the Spanish capital? Do you believe that he will pick pace this year and the end season on a high note or will he continue struggling?
