WE NEED HIM READY FOR 2022 TO TAKEOVER

With Karim Benzema’s contract running out in 2022, Real Madrid will need Luka Jovic to be ready to take over one of the greatest’s strikers this generation has seen. Yes, this may seem to be too far-fetched but this certainly could be the situation in 2022.

Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are two names that are linked as replacements for Benzema but let’s not talk about players that are not yet part of Real Madrid. Luka Jovic is still a Merengue and will most certainly be one in 2022 as well.

It is highly unlikely that Madrid will renew terms with Benzema in 2022 and even if they do renew terms, Jovic will still be an important player. The French marksman will be 34 and will occasionally require to be rested to avoid muscular overloads, this when Jovic comes in handy to fill in the void. And if Real do not renew terms with Karim Benzema, then it is all for Luka Jovic to take over.

If the 23-year-old manages to score at least 10+ goals by the end of the season then it is safe to say that Florentino Perez will reconsider offloading Jovic permanently when the season ends. If that is the case, then integrating the Serbian in the 2021/22 season will play a pivotal role for his future and the clubs.
