Eden Hazard has failed to live up to the billing since his arrival for Chelsea and Real Madrid now have a chance to part ways with him.

Eden Hazard arrived at Real Madrid for a transfer fee of 160 million euros, including bonuses. The club’s most expensive signing has been one of the most ineffective in recent years as injuries have kept him out of action for most months. Los Blancos are growing frustrated with the Belgian and there’s a surprising offer on the table.

According to El Desmarque, Hazard is wanted on short-term loan by Turkish giants Fenerbahce. The club is on the verge of signing Mesut Ozil, a former Madrid player and Hazard is another player on their wish-list. As a matter of fact, the 30-year-old did tell the Turkish side’s president that he would like to play for Fenerbahce down the line.

Hazard has just scored three goals in his Real Madrid career, a rather poor return for someone of his calibre. The winger although is likely to remain at the club and a loan to Fenerbahce seems to be just an undercooked story to believe. With that said, it is high time nonetheless that the Merengues start questioning him for his poor displays.

The player’s market value has already fallen to 50 million euros, a significant drop from what it was some years back. Marco Asensio, Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Junior are all knocking on Zinedine Zidane’s door with better performances than Hazard, but the French manager has preferred to keep playing the Belgium international even in a rough patch.

Los Blancos take on Alcoyano in the Copa del Rey’s round of 32 clash this week as they look to overturn the tide following a Spanish Super Cup defeat to Athletic Bilbao. Hazard is unlikely to be part of the squad against the minnows, but the younger lot surely will have a chance to prove itself against the bottom tier side hailing from Alicante.
