Real Madrid completed a comfortable performance over Valencia with a 2-0 win at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano. Two first-half goals from Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos were enough to secure the home win for Los Blancos. Real Madrid was in total control throughout the match as Valencia hardly troubled the Merengues backline. Thibaut Courtois was only called on the make a save once from a long-distance effort.

Here is how the Real Madrid players performed.

Thibaut Courtois – 7.5/10

Courtois did not have much to do, but he commanded his area thoroughly. He made a fantastic save when called upon and looked confident with the ball on his feet.

Dani Carvajal – N/A

Carvajal had only come back from injury for 28 minutes before limping off the pitch again. He looked good for the short amount of time he was on the field, but unfortunately, he might miss out on more games to come.

Raphael Varane – 7.5/10

Varane continues to show his leadership in the backline in the absence of Sergio Ramos. He marshaled his defense well and kept it tight at the back. Valencia hardly got a sniff of the goal.

Nacho Fernandez – 7.5/10

Nacho provided a solid partnership to Varane. He completed three interceptions and two clearances.

Ferland Mendy – 7.5/10

Mendy was a reliable presence in defense as usual. He also made several good runs forward, and he was unfortunate to have a goal chalked off for a tight offside call.

Marco Asensio – 7/10

Asensio’s movements looked good on the day. He made some lovely runs and showed confidence on the ball. He could have done better when Modric sent him through on goal.
