Dani Carvajal is injured, and he’s going to miss the crucial Round of 16 tie against Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League. He has a muscle injury in his right thigh with tendon involvement, as reported by Real Madrid’s official website. He’s one of Real Madrid‘s most important players and is one of the best in his position across Europe, but he’s going to be out for around 2 months and miss many important games.

Carvajal is a fullback who can contribute a lot at both ends of the pitch. In attack, he can create something with a wonderful cross, an accurate cutback, or even from a sequence of beautiful combinational play with his teammates. In defence, he’s quick to recover in transition, almost impossible to beat in a 1v1 duel and blocks crosses very well. There aren’t many players in the world who are as complete as him.

But injuries have been a major obstacle in his career. Though he had an injury-free 2019/20 season, he has suffered from many injuries season, which hurt him and Zidane a lot. He’s gonna enter into his prime at this age, and these injuries aren’t a good sign at this age, but he’s someone who fought his way back from dangerous heart disease, and he will definitely return stronger.

But right now, Zinedine Zidane will be without his first-choice right-back and he has to manage with another player. Let’s have a look at the contenders for the Right-back position.
