Eder Militao

Eder Militao is a versatile player who can play as a CB, RB, and CDM. The Brazilian has the experience of playing as an RB while playing for Porto, and he put in a great display against Liverpool in the 2018/19 UCL season. But under Zinedine Zidane, he was never really tried out in that position, except for one game against Real Betis in 2019/20 season. He’s quick, good with the ball at his feet, and solid defensively. He can be a great choice for Zidane in that position.

But for him to be considered as a contender for the RB position, he needs to be fit and recover from his present injury in the first place. His chances of returning in time and being in contention for the RB position might be practically zero, similar to Odriozola’s case. But he’s one for the future, and he should try to somehow convince Zidane in the training sessions that he has the ability to play as a fullback.

Another option for the RB position is Sergio Santos from Real Madrid Castilla. The 19-year-old defender was called up for some matchdays this season, but he never really had an opportunity to make his first-team debut like his Castilla counterparts Arribas, Chust, and Marvin. Unless there’s another injury crisis, he wouldn’t be even called up for the matchday squad, forget about getting a chance to play.
