6. Villarreal CM Dani Parejo

It is extremely difficult to choose between Dani Parejo and Gerard Moreno, but I am going to go with the new signing from rivals Valencia. Parejo has been a huge boost to Unai Emery’s side, and he is also right up there with the best midfielders in the league. I’d argue that after Toni Kroos, who is obviously in first here, nobody else in Spanish football is better at controlling a match than the experienced Parejo.

The 31-year-old is averaging 1.1 key passes per agme and drawing 1.9 fouls per match. Parejo is averaging a whopping 77.7 passes per game with a completion percentage just over 90 percent, as he is crucial to the Yellow Submarine’s Champions League hopes. The man is even in the top three on Villarreal in both tackles and interceptions per game!

5. Real Sociedad FW Mikel Oyarzabal

Real Sociedad have a handful of classy players in their side, including the most in-form player in the league in fellow forward Alexander Isak. Meanwhile, David Silva and Mikel Merino are two of the best midfielders in the league.

That said, the man with the sweetest of left feet, Mikel Oyarzabal, has to get the nod. He is La Real’s leader and the most valuable Spanish player. Oyarzabal has 10 goals with five assists so far this season, nearing Karim Benzema in terms of his all-around goal contributions. The 23-year-old is one of the most efficient and consistent players you’ll find in La Liga, as he has not had multiple games in a row without a single goal contribution since the start of October!
