Misa Rodriguez is one of the best goalkeepers on the planet

Misa Rodriguez is now a regular starter for the Spanish national team, and she has been a massive upgrade in goal for Real Madrid. It’s been a joy to watch her make stunning saves week after week, and she is regularly one of the highlights of the match from a Madrid perspective. Even against Barcelona to start the season in the blowout loss, she made her presence felt by making some of the best saves of the campaign.

Talented with the ball at her feet, Misa has what it takes to hold down the starting goalkeeper job for years and years to come. Just 21 years old, Misa is perhaps the greatest goalkeeping prodigy in the world, and she has immediately become a fan favorite. No stage seems too big for Misa, who works wonderfully with her experienced back four.

Maite Oroz is one of the best midfielders in the league

Real Madrid have enjoyed a few breakout campaigns from individual players this season, and Maite Oroz has to be mentioned as one of them. She is a very classy midfield player on the ball who makes clean passes and knows when to recycle the ball or go for a sliding pass that breaks the defensive lines.

A chance-creator, progressive passer, and dribbling extraordinaire, Oroz has been a breath of fresh air to a Madrid midfield that was very stagnant last season. She has helped turned one of Real’s biggest weaknesses into a strength, and she is one of the key reasons for Real Madrid being in the Champions League conversation already.
