Real Madrid will have a busy summer 2021 transfer window ahead of them. Last year, Los Blancos only made sales and loaned out players, as they opted to avoid spending any money in order to save up for a “galactic” forward. But with the pandemic still raging and the club hit hard economically, they will, once again, have to make some more tough decisions, especially if they want to upgrade their struggling front line.

Here are three defenders who could leave the team this summer.

CB Sergio Ramos

We begin with a player who isn’t up for sale but is on an expiring contract. Much to the annoyance of Madridistas, Sergio Ramos and Real Madrid have yet to agree to terms on a new deal, meaning the legendary center back is still at risk of leaving the city of Madrid.

While most fans don’t truly believe Ramos will go, the lack of a deal has left them nervous about Ramos’ future. The man is still one of the best central defenders in the world, especially when accounting for his attacking gifts. Ramos is second-to-none at the position both as a goal-scorer and as a ball-playing center back.

PSG, Manchester United, Manchester City, PSG, and Chelsea could all potentially tempt the No. 4 into leaving by giving him a final contract offer he can’t refuse.
