Real Madrid has had 42 injuries this season, and many of our key players like Sergio Ramos, Dani Carvajal, Eden Hazard, and Karim Benzema are still unavailable due to their respective injuries. Four players did return for the crucial game against Real Sociedad, including Fede Valverde and Rodrygo Goes, two of the best youngsters in Real Madrid’s ranks.

Valverde has been on the sidelines since the game against Athletic Bilbao in the Supercopa de Espana, in which he suffered a calf injury. He was expected to return in two or three weeks, but his injury was serious than expected and it took him 46 days to return. Zinedine Zidane had to deal with only two natural central midfielders in Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, and those two didn’t have many opportunities to rest.

Rodrygo Goes has been injured since the 1-0 win against Granada on the 23rd of December, 2020, and has missed many matches due to a Grade 3 hamstring tear. His recovery date wasn’t certain, and few sources speculated that it might take him three months to return, but he has returned in two months and six days and looks stronger than ever.

Now that both of them are back, what should we expect from them and what will be their impact? Let’s have a look at that.
