Erling Haaland can bring Real Madrid the goals

Benzema has been off the pitch since their home game against Valencia on the 14th of February. He has missed two matchdays in the league as well as their UCL Round of 16 first leg against Atalanta. It is nothing but clearly visible that the Whites have struggled finding the net without the Frenchman on the pitch. Thanks to Casemiro’s header against Valladolid and Ferland Mendy’s weak foot wonder goal against Atalanta that kept them alive in the first two matches without Benzema. Noteworthy is the fact that even these goals came after a considerable struggle to break the opposition defense and most importantly, from set pieces.

The champions otherwise haven’t been able to breach the opposition defense in open field play. In the match against Sociedad, Vinicius Junior rescued a point in the dying minutes of the game off a deflected shot that found the bottom corner. The Brazilian hasn’t made a clean finish for quite some time now and these are worry signs for Real Madrid who are known for their attacking play.

Erling Haaland has shined for the Borussia outfit. In figuratively no time at all, he has registered his name against several records such as the fastest player to 15 Champions League goals. He is absolutely deadly in front of goal and doesn’t miss many chances. He has been good in link-up play, mostly favoring short passes. He is doing what a striker’s job is and that is to score goals. He has already scored 17 in the league and 8 in the Champions League this season. Not to forget he also has 4 assists to his name in the league.

With names like Mariano Diaz failing to fill in for Benzema, it is extremely vital that Real find their next Galactico. Moreover, with the stats that the youngster carry he can be trusted to scored 30 goals in a season and there are all chances for both him and Benzema to start together if the move is materialized.

Overall, the inclusion of Haaland would transform Real’s attack by great degrees. Not only would he be a considerable replacement for Benzema, but he’d also be the 30 goal scorer that the club has been looking for. To say the least, if the move is made, Haaland would surely be a regular than a mere replacement.
