Arsenal

I’m not sure what Arsenal’s financial situation will be when the summer rolls around and how willing they would be to acquire a striker when they have two big names with big wages on their books in Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.

But Arsenal should be looking for a younger striker who can score more goals. Aubameyang has been a disappointment this season with just nine goals, while Lacazette’s stats are exactly the same albeit with two assists to Auba’s one. Auba is over the age of 30, while Lacazette is 29.

Luka Jovic would be a young, exciting transfer target for Arsenal, whose roster clearly isn’t good enough to compete in the Premier League. All the questions in the world can be asked of Mikel Arteta, but this team will never get better if the ownership doesn’t get serious about fortifying the team with actual, proven talent instead of asking too much of youngsters who don’t quite have the athletic tools to be superstars.

This Real Madrid forward has the tools. Jovic’s talent has never been in question, and his production in the 2018-2019 season for Eintracht, who are as good of a club as Arsenal at this point in time, speaks for itself.

Months ago, Pain in the Arsenal outlined a compelling case for Jovic, and I don’t see how anything in their situation has changed since then. He is still a viable target for the Gunners.
