Zinedine Zidane has been the manager of Real Madrid for almost four and a half seasons, including both the terms. He was present for eight transfer windows and got to make some interesting signings. He didn’t look for any big signings in his first tenure as the manager of Real Madrid, as the team had a settled core, and there was a world-class player in every position.

With Zidane as the gaffer, Real Madrid primarily looked to sign young and upcoming talents, who came for a nominal amount, while they could make high-profit sales in his first-term. Another specialty of the team’s transfer policy was that they never looked to make a first-team signing in the winter transfer window. Reinier Jesus was signed in January 2020, but he was a Castilla signing at that point in time.

In Zidane’s second term, the club looked to make big signings because the world-class core of Real Madrid was an aging one. Of all the signings made under Zinedine Zidane, starting from Alvaro Morata and ending with Rodrygo Goes, few have been successful while few have been very disappointing. Let’s have a look at the three worst signings made by Real Madrid under Zinedine Zidane.
