Real Madrid CM Fede Valverde

Fede Valverde’s return has been a big boost for Los Blancos, as the center midfielder was one of the team’s absolute top performers both last season and through the first few months of the 2020-2021 season before suffering his first injury.

The Uruguayan has three goals and an assist in under 800 La Liga minutes. Casemiro is currently Real’s second-leading scorer in the league, thanks to his head, but Valverde is the midfielder with the most potential to emerge as a secondary goal-scorer for Real Madrid down the stretch of the season. And that might end up being just as important of a contribution to the team as his non-stop running and counterattack-starting ball recoveries.

Milan FW Brahim Diaz

We finally close with another loanee and the fourth attacking player on this list. Milan’s Brahim Diaz had a rough start to the Europa League Round of 16 against Manchester United, but his team was able to come away with a point after a late equalizing header from center back Simon Kjaer.

Rest assured, Brahim will come up big later in the Europa League. Milan have more quality and consistency than United, and Brahim has the work ethic and cool head in front of goal to potentially be the one to help the Rossoneri finish off the Red Devils of the Premier League.

Brahim, just 21, has three goals in the Europa League this season, and WhoScored.com has him credited with 1.3 dribbles per game and 1.0 key passes per game. He’s been one of many bright spots in this ascending Milan side and could have a real future in Madrid.
