Real Madrid have had a very strange season in 2020/21. They have been highly inconsistent and there have been an unusual number of injuries. There have been 45 of them so far, which is a very surprising number. They are already out of one primary competition and lost out on a Supercopa title.

It has been a highly unpredictable season, and nothing has gone as per the plan. Martin Ødegaard was supposed to lead the next generation of Real Madrid and become a regular, but he lost his patience midway through the season and left on loan for more minutes. Eden Hazard was supposed to prove his worth in this season and he also asked his credits to judge him on the basis of this season, but injuries have killed his season so far.

Real Madrid were supposed to integrate youngsters into their squad. Players like Luka Modric and Karim Benzema were supposed to decline with age and pass on the mantle to the younger generation, but so far they’ve been one of the best players this season. Asensio was supposed to lead the attacking line, but he has flopped badly. There have been many surprises this season.

Real Madrid are still in two competitions, in LaLiga and Champions League, but right now nothing is for sure. So let’s have a look at three bold predictions for the rest of the season.
