Real Madrid prepare to take on Celta Vigo in another must-win La Liga match after they comfortably qualified to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals on Tuesday night by beating Atalanta 4-1 on aggregate. That’s in the past now as they will need to continue winning all their remaining league games if they have any chance of possibly ending the season at the top.

Goalkeeper

As always, Thibaut Courtois will be chosen as the starting goalkeeper. This isn’t expected to change unless Real Madrid have nothing more to fight for in a competition or if Courtois is unable to play. He has been arguably our most important player this season so far.

Defenders

Even though it seems like Zidane is enjoying having Nacho on the right but if the past is anything to judge by, he’s not too confident with the player as a right-back as opposed to a wing-back. Therefore, he may go back to playing Lucas Vazquez at right-back on the night with Raphael Varane in the center alongside Sergio Ramos who will be hoping to complete a full 90 minutes on the pitch before the international break. On the left, Ferland Mendy will be expected to continue being the manager’s number one choice.

Midfielders

Thanks to Zidane’s formation change in midweek, Real Madrid didn’t miss Carlos Casemiro too much, but he’ll be back in the starting lineup on Saturday. In front of the Brazilian will be the incredible duo of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric as they aim to continue performing at unbelievably high and consistent levels.

Forwards

The front three is a little open in terms of who could potentially start but there is a good possibility that the manager will opt to bring Marco Asensio back to the starting lineup after he scored off the bench on Tuesday. On the opposite side, Vinicius Junior should be the player chosen ahead of Rodrygo Goes after impressing in midweek as well. He’ll need to play after a good performance which will only bring up his confidence. Is there any debate as to who will be our striker? Definitely not as Karim Benzema will be ready to cause chaos once again.
