Real Madrid got off to a hot start with two goals from Karim Benzema, both assisted by Toni Kroos, but they were met with a response 10 minutes later from Celta Vigo striker Santi Mina.

Their 2-1 lead in the second half was threatened constantly by Iago Aspas and Co. But in the end, Real were the ones who added to their lead in the second half, as Marco Asensio turned home a cross from Karim Benzema to seal the deal in the last possible minute at 3-1.

Here are three takeaways from a third straight victory for Los Blancos.

Karim Benzema is unstoppable

I might as well leave an entry for Karim Benzema every single week, because he is scoring goals each and every time he is out there.

Since returning from injury against Atletico Madrid, Benzema has been a constant on the scoresheet. He has now scored in each of his last six appearances. That’s eight goals and, now, an assist in that time span, which is extraordinary.

Benz scored his first goal with his right foot after a world-class pass from Toni Kroos. His second came after Kroos pressed a Celta Vigo defender into an awful mistake. Benz then subtly bent it around another defender with his left, picking his spot in the bottom left-hand corner of the net.

And finally, Benz ran into the penalty box and sent a ball in to new super-sub Marco Asensio, who converted for Benzema’s sixth assist of the La Liga campaign.

The French No. 9 is one of the best in the world right now, and his dominance display in Vigo is another feather in his cap. Next stop, the Pichichi? It will be another battle for the honor!
