Real Madrid show their resiliency

The top clubs are all feeling the burn of this grueling season. Injuries are piling up, and while we have no way of truly measuring this, it truly does feel like fatigue is at an all-time high. And on Matchday 28 at the Balaidos, Real Madrid seemed to be feeling the burn in a big way by the time an hour ticked off the clock.

Zinedine Zidane made just one sub, taking out Toni Kroos for Marco Asensio, which proved to be the right move in the end. But Zizou did not make any other changes, instead trusting his XI wholeheartedly to finish the job.

It was not easy. How many matches against Celta are? But winning the title is never easy, and under Zizou, Real have the mentality that every match is a final they must struggle through. It is a meme at this point. However, it works, as we saw last season when Real Madrid outlasted the competition en route to their 34th league title.

Credit to Los Merengues for toughing it out at the Balaidos and getting the full three points they need to keep up with Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona. Tomorrow, Madridistas will keep a close eye on the late game between La Blaugrana and Real Sociedad.
