Levante RM Jorge de Frutos
Like Aurelien Tchouameni and Renato Tapia, we have seen Jorge de Frutos linked with Real Madrid in transfer rumors. The Levante wide man is reportedly seen as a potential replacement for Lucas Vazquez, who could be headed to Bayern Munich at the end of the season. Whatever the future holds, Vazquez is expected to leave Real due to the difference in the evaluation of his wages between the club and player.
De Frutos would be an ideal replacement for Vazquez as a squad player, and he is out-producing the Galician winger as a member of the Frogs this season.
Real Madrid sold de Frutos to Levante this summer, and they still own the rights to him so they could easily buy him back as Vazquez’s replacement in the summer 2021 transfer window if they want to. And based on what we have seen from de Frutos this season, Real absolutely should be interested.
The 24-year-old Spanish international has scored three goals with seven assists in La Liga this season, exploding onto the scene as a beneficial member of a Levante attack that includes Roger Marti and Jose Luis Morales up top.
De Frutos can be a great utility player on the right-hand side and even stand out as an asset in the “back three” formation that Zinedine Zidane has been experimenting with frequently in the second half of the current campaign.
The definition of an affordable, high-upside signing, de Frutos’ performances need to be monitored closely by Madridistas going forward.
