Real Madrid will have a busy month of April as the 2020-2021 La Liga season comes to a close. The title race remains close, with Los Blancos sitting in third. They are six points behind league leaders Atletico Madrid, whom they drew in March, and two points behind Barcelona, whom they will face in April.

But unlike Atleti and Barça, Real don’t just have to worry about the league. Los Blancos are still alive in the Champions League, and their second fixture of the month will actually be a first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals against Liverpool at home at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano.

Let’s predict each of the seven fixtures on Real’s schedule for the month of April.

Real Madrid vs. Eibar, Apr. 3

When Real Madrid return from the March international break, they will have a rematch against Eibar, whom they defeated 3-1 this winter at the Ipurua. Eibar gave Los Merengues a tough battle, and they will probably do so again, especially since neither Fede Valverde nor Toni Kroos are expected to play.

Despite the injuries and the fact that there is no such thing as an easy match in La Liga, Real Madrid will expect to obtain all three points at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano to kick the month off. And I expect them to do just that, putting together a shutdown performance defensively. There will be no Kike Garcia wondergoal this time.

Prediction: Real Madrid 3, Eibar 0
