CF Karim Benzema

Karim Benzema is on one hell of a scoring run. He scored twice and assisted for Marco Asensio in a 3-1 win over Celta Vigo just before the break, and you wouldn’t put it past him to add a couple of more goal contributions against Eibar, whom he’s usually fared well against, including a goal and two assists against them at the Ipurua earlier this season.

The French No. 9 has eight goals and an assist in his last six matches, scoring in each of them. Benzema was only just recovering from an injury, yet he’s still consistently come up with important goals. And Real Madrid will need him to keep up the pace in April, because there is no single player whom they rely on more than Benzema. He is, for all intents and purposes, their entire attack.

CB Sergio Ramos

Another superstar player who returned from injury in March, Sergio Ramos got his international break off to a great start with a jaw-dropping 100 completed passes in 45 minutes in the first half against Greece. Ramos is the world’s finest ball-playing center back, and it really isn’t even close. The accuracy with which he completes difficult passes and plays out of the press is staggering.

The Real Madrid No. 4 was brilliant in the recent Champions League fixture against Atalanta, shutting down the opposition defensively while gorgeously dominating their press. He must be just as good, if not better, against Liverpool in April. The Reds have nothing else to play for but the Champions League, and Ramos’ main forward matchup, Mohamed Salah, will be out for revenge. And honestly? I don’t think he’ll get much of it against Ramos.
