Martin Odegaard can help a new Galactico

Real Madrid have made it clear that they have two top targets in the upcoming summer transfer window: Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. Both players are young superstars who can transform this club and its ailing attack for the next decade, as they are already proven commodities in the Champions League despite both being under the age of 23. Aside from them, Real have also been linked with more experienced options Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Martin Odegaard’s benefit to Haaland is obvious. We have seen the two link up wonderfully with the Norwegian national team. Their friendship is apparent. An attack with Haaland needs to have Odegaard as a component of it, as I’m sure that would be a selling point for the Borussia Dortmund forward joining the Royal Whites over, say, Manchester City.

But Odegaard would also help the other forwards. Anyone in the attack benefits from playing with the 22-year-old. Odegaard had 12 assists at Vitesse, then he had six with two key passes per game in the more competitive La Liga last season. Portu, Mikel Oyarzabal, Willian Jose, and Alexander Isak benefited from Odegaard. Ronaldo, Haaland, and Mbappe would all love to have a guy like him feeding them passes that leave the defense helpless.
