Tottenham ST Harry Kane

Harry Kane is having a jaw-dropping season with Tottenham in 2020-2021. Although the bottom seems to be falling out on Jose Mourinho’s reign at Spurs, Kane has been thriving under the legendary manager.

He is producing a Premier League campaign for the ages. Kane has 19 goals and 13 assists so far this season, and he could reasonably lead the league in both categories. Just incredible. Benzema himself must be proud of the all-around work Kane is putting in for this Spurs team. He has stepped up as a leader, even when his team has been left wanting.

When it comes to a striker who can co-exist with – and one day replace – Benzema, Kane is at the top of the list. But Kane is so valuable to Tottenham, especially since he is an England international, which matters logistically in that league.

Therefore, his price, if Spurs were to even think about selling him, would be astronomical. I honestly think he would cost more than Mbappe or Haaland, so I don’t really see him as an actual alternative.

But Real have been linked to Kane numerous times over the past year. He is an option. Not a realistic one. But a talented one? Absolutely.

Dortmund FW Jadon Sancho

Our final entrant is another Borussia Dortmund forward, Jadon Sancho. The trail on Sancho has cooled since last year, but he should still be on Real Madrid’s radar as a possible major signing if all other options fail. Whereas BVB are playing the leverage game with Erling Haaland and actually might not intend to sell him so soon, they seem to be 100 percent open to selling Sancho this summer after Manchester United (rather foolishly) did not meet their asking price last year.

Sancho has been operating at the highest level in the Bundesliga since joining Dortmund before the 2018-2019 season. He’s now on three consecutive seasons of legitimately world-class play in Germany’s top flight, creating and converting chances.

This season, the England international has 6 goals and 9 assists in the Bundesliga to go with 5 total goal contributions in the Champions League. Sancho is averaging a whopping 2.8 key passes per game and 3.0 dribbles completed per game, according to WhoScored.com, as he continues to mature into a more complete chance-creator.

Sancho isn’t as much of a scorer as Ronaldo, Mbappe, Haaland, or Kane. Therefore, he is not as favorable of an option. But because he is a highly skilled, consistent, and world-class 21-year-old winger who can play on either side, he is very much someone Real Madrid should still keep on their wishlist.
