Next up, Victor Chust. The young center back is expected to make his second start as a first-team player in his career, and he is set to start alongside another young center back in Eder Militao, who greatly increased his reputation with a phenomenal week filling in for Raphael Varane.

Chust’s only start this season came against Alcoyano. But that doesn’t mean he’s been a disappointment or is not deserving of the trust of the fans. Chust, unlike Alvaro Odriozola, was actually pretty good against Alcoyano, and he and Militao made a competent team together in central defense.

Facing a team in La Liga will be a different challenge for Chust, but Militao is playing at a higher level now and Getafe aren’t exactly a stalwart attacking team. They don’t have a single player with more than five goals.

Chust’s ball-playing ability will be very important against an aggressive Getafe team that focuses on forcing errors to create chances. He must keep his wits about him and just focus on making smart, simple plays, looking for his teammates in midfield and defense who are strong on the ball like Toni Kroos and Marcelo. Chust is an unproven commodity still, but he is a promising center back who can increase his value this weekend.
