Real Madrid may need to dig deep into their depth this Sunday at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez when they take on Getafe in La Liga. Los Blancos have just come off three straight positive results against Liverpool and Barcelona, and many of the remaining starters do not have much left to give after running their lungs out.

Some key changes could be coming to the back four this Sunday. Alvaro Odriozola and Marcelo are possible starters at the fullback positions. And it looks like Nacho Fernandez won’t start either, meaning we could see a prospect return to the XI.

According to a report from MARCA’s reliable Jose Felix Diaz, Victor Chust is set to start for Real Madrid at Getafe. Chust will start next to Eder Militao, who has been a revelation in the last few games, particularly against the Reds.

Some Madridistas will be a bit nervous, as Militao and Chust were the starters in Real’s horrific Copa del Rey loss to Alcoyano.

But the reality is that both men played well, with Militao actually scoring Real’s lone goal in the defeat. Neither were at fault for any of Real’s errors in that game, and Chust actually impressed most fans watching.

Felix Diaz writes that Zinedine Zidane “trusts” Victor Chust, despite the fact that the 21-year-old has only started once in his career. Again, his lone start may have been in a loss to a third-division side, but Chust was not at fault for what happened at Alcoyano.

Real Madrid will need to show the resiliency of champions this weekend against Getafe, and having young guys like Chust step up to the challenge would go a long way. Getafe don’t really have anyone who carry a major threat offensively, though the likes of Jaime Mata and Takefusa Kubo are capable players. So Chust will have to be composed, especially with the ball at his feet. Jose Bordalas may try to test the young man’s nerves.
