Real Madrid dropped two points against Getafe with a 0-0 draw at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez. Los Blancos made eight changes from the Barcelona game while giving much-needed rest to players like Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos. Zinedine Zidane’s team struggled to get a hold of the game and lacked fluidity in their play. Some heroics from Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao, and Victor Chust helped Real Madrid to hold on to a 0-0 draw.

Here is how the Real Madrid players performed.

Thibaut Courtois – 10/10

Thibaut Courtois was tremendous for Real Madrid once again on the night. His six vital saves were the difference that allowed Real Madrid to hold onto a draw. The Belgian also commanded his area and did not put a foot wrong.

Alvaro Odriozola – 6/10

Odriozola held his own in the first half but had a dismal second half. His final ball in the second 45 minutes was hugely disappointing.

Eder Militao – 9/10

Militao continued to perform at the highest level. The rise of the Brazillian center back has come at the right time for Real Madrid. Militao’s first-half numbers were outstanding, and he finished the game with even better numbers. The Brazillian completed ten clearances, won nine duels, three interceptions, and two tackles.

Victor Chust – 8/10

Victor Chust performed valiantly alongside Militao to help Real Madrid keep a clean sheet. The Castilla captain stepped up in the absence of senior first choice center-backs and cleaned up everything that came his way. He completed six clearances, won four duels, and blocked two shots.

Marcelo – 4.5/10

Marcelo served a fantastic ball for Mariano in the first half. Other than that, he was largely ineffective. His defensive positioning was questionable for large parts of the game, which created problems for Real Madrid.

Luka Modric – 7/10

Modric with another 90 minutes under his belt. He played as an anchor in the midfield for the majority of the match and did the best he could. He aided Real Madrid to stretch the game when possible. He looked out of gas in the last 20 minutes.

Isco – 7/10

Isco looked rusty in the first few minutes of the game but slowly found his rhythm. He helped Real Madrid circulate the ball while creating openings for his teammates. Isco had a team-high xGBuildup contribution of 0.4, per Understat.com. Not something to rave about, but the Spaniard was the most involved Los Blancos player in attack. He also contributed defensively with two tackles, two dribbles, and two interceptions.

Rodrygo – 4/10

It will be harsh to criticize Rodrygo on this performance. He was played out of position by Zidane, and the Brazillian never looked sure of what his role was on the pitch.

Marco Asensio – 5/10

Asensio had two key passes in the match. However, his overall game was underwhelming. He did not offer much support to his teammates in controlling the game and was missing in large stretches of the match.

Vinicius Junior – 4.5/10

Vinicius had an off day, and it was for lack of trying. Allen-Romeo Nyom had the better of him all night. Vinicius failed to complete any of his dribbles, and he should have also done better with the header opportunity in the first half.

Mariano Diaz – 4/10

Mariano did not perform much of note. Except for the disallowed goal, his contribution was nonexistent.

Substitutions

Karim Benzema – 5/10

Benzema did not get many services from his teammates, and he only had seven touches in the match.

Antonio Blanco – 7/10

Antonio Blanco played his first match in La Liga and was impressive in the 25 minutes he was on the pitch. He was a little conservative on his passing but looked sharp as a defensive midfielder. He won three tackles and one interception in the match.

Sergio Arribas – N/A
