Although you would think the transfer rumor mill would die down in light of the uncertainty created by the European Super League, the cycle never stops for Real Madrid or the other big clubs around Europe.

Real’s top target in the upcoming transfer window is Kylian Mbappe. If Real create the European Super League and PSG do not join them, it may be impossible to sign Mbappe in 2021. But in his appearance on El Chiringuito, Florentino Perez only ruled out a move for Cristiano Ronaldo. He did not rule out “Operation Mbappe”.

And now, it seems as if Mbappe may be “winking” at Real Madrid again.

According to a report from Goal.com’s Ruben Uria, Kylian Mbappe has asked “a trusted person” to help him find a home in Madrid. We already heard that Erling Haaland’s family purchased property in Marbella, and now this report from Goal says that Mbappe is specifically looking within the city of Madrid.

Can Real Madrid still sign Kylian Mbappe even with the ‘Super League’?

We don’t know if this is a sign he intends on coming to Madrid, and Uria is careful to note this as well. He could just be looking to buy property.

But let’s be real. In the midst of contract negotiations with PSG and the uncertainty regarding his future, this kind of a gesture of asking to buy property in Madrid would, if true, be quite the coincidence.

Mbappe will have one year left on his contract if he does not re-sign with PSG, and that would put the Parisians in a tough spot, especially if Real Madrid cordon themselves off in the European Super League.

So we will see if anything comes of this report regarding Mbappe and what’s next in the transfer saga, which has spanned well over a year at this point.

dark. Next. The 5 players Real Madrid should have never sold

But while Madridistas continue to dream of Mbappe, there are still barriers to a deal. Even with the investment from JP Morgan and potentially others in the super league, logistical issues could replace the financial ones when it comes to Real Madrid signing the dream target of the fans. Including one very important one: the potential loss of national team football if he were to join Los Merengues.
