Real Madrid are still ahead of Barcelona in the La Liga table, as La Blaugrana squandered a golden opportunity to go ahead in the title race by losing 2-1 to Granada on Thursday night. And now, Los Blancos know they control their own destiny, even after recent 0-0 draws to Real Betis and Getafe. They remain behind Atletico Madrid, but if they can win all of their remaining games, they have a real chance at taking the league.

Osasuna awaits them on Saturday night at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano. Real drew Osasuna 0-0 in Pamplona earlier this year, and it could be a tough day for Real’s attack, noting how strong the visitors are defensively.

Los Blancos may have to rotate significantly, too. They just faced Chelsea in the Champions League at less than 100 percent, and their second leg encounter will be next week on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge. And the likes of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos were clearly not at their best, coming off injuries. They need rest, having given their all this season.

So let’s take a look at five players who are not normally starters but could get a big opportunity on Matchday 34 vs. Osasuna. These players will need to step up and shine, assuming they get this chance.
