And maybe that man is Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard made his return from injury against Real Betis, and while he could not rescue a win for Real Madrid, he impressed with his touches. Hazard then played off the bench against Chelsea. Most importantly, he completed both matches without any injuries, which is really what’s important here, considering the setbacks and loss of confidence prior.

There’s a chance Hazard could start against Chelsea in the second leg. And what moment it would be if he were to play a role in a goal that helps Real Madrid advance to the final?

So much has been written about Hazard and so much pressure has been placed on the left winger’s shoulders. Hazard cannot be faulted for the injuries. When he has been able to get momentum, he has played at a very high level for Los Blancos, as we saw in the Fall of 2019 before his injury against PSG.

Vinicius Junior is a talented player who has boosted the team in some critical games in the past two seasons. Rodrygo Goes is just as good. And Asensio, for all his faults, has top-notch technical quality.

But we all know that Hazard is the superstar of the bunch. He is the one with the best chance at lifting up this team and helping it be all it can be. Just imagine if he steps up to the plate next week at Chelsea.
