We continue with a right back from Real Sociedad, which may give Madridistas negative flashbacks of Alvaro Odriozola, who has not lived up to the price tag since being purchased from La Real a few years ago. But whereas Odriozola was an athletic, attacking-minded back, Gorosabel is a much more defensive player and has helped shut down some great left wingers in La Liga.

There is not much exciting about Gorosabel’s game, and he may not have the attacking prowess necessary to start for Real. But at the right price, he could be good insurance for Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez, seeing as how the latter is not an actual defender.

Gorosabel is averaging 2.3 tackles per game, according to WhoScored.com. He is a smart, consistent defender who is worth monitoring. There aren’t many other realistic right back options in La Liga.

Plus, since Los Blancos are just looking for a backup, it might be wise to target someone inexpensive and relatively young at 24 who can offer something different to everyone else. Gorosabel would be like Mendy on the left, in the sense that he is more defensive and can be rotated with someone more attacking like, say, Vazquez.
