Valencia RB Thierry Correia

Let’s stick with the right back position and go with someone more exciting than Andoni Gorosabel. Thierry Correia is one of the fastest players in La Liga and is one of the only Valencia players who has impressed in an unsurprising nightmare season for the Bats after their summer 2020 firesale.

Correia’s attacking numbers are pretty impressive. The 22-year-old is averaging a dribble completed per game and 1.4 fouls drawn per game. He also has 1.7 tackles per game and 1.4 interceptions per game in the 2020-2021 La Liga campaign thus far.

Although Correia would be a risk since he’s young and unproven, Real Madrid would be wise to monitor him closely and potentially get their foot in the door on such a promising player. There needs to be technical improvement on the ball, but Correia is a smart defender and a hell of an athlete who has the upside to support attacks.

Alvaro Odriozola has impressive speed, but Correia may be even faster and with more defensive contributions. He isn’t ready to start, but he could be a prospect to file away as depth. Real Madrid may decide it is best not to sign him, but he should be on their radar.
