RB Leipzig

Here’s one that’s a little outside the box for you in the Bundesliga. RB Leipzig bought two new strikers after selling Timo Werner to Chelsea. Alexander Sorloth looks like he could still work out, but the speedy Hwang Hee-chan could be sold this summer after failing to get settled. He hasn’t even contributed to a goal in the Bundesliga this season!

But even Sorloth has been a disappointment after leading the Turkish league in goals last season. The Norwegian is only averaging 0.31 goals per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga, per FBRef.com, which is atrocious for a player playing in that league on that team with Julian Nagelsmann as his coach.

Imagine what Leipzig could do with Luka Jovic. He’d get to benefit from playing with the likes of Emil Forsberg, Marcel Sabitzer, and the underrated Christopher Nkunku. We saw how Werner benefited from Nkunku’s understated genius and chance-creation, and Jovic could have a field day at Leipzig. They could even use a two-striker system with Jovic and Sorloth, much like Leipzig benefited from Yussuf Poulsen and Werner playing together in the past.

Leipzig usually go for up-and-comers instead of established names like Jovic, but they might have to get ambitious with their attack if they want to compete with the prolific strikers of the BuLi, specifically title rivals Bayern Munich and Robert Lewandowski.
