West Ham

Our last stop is in the Premier League with West Ham, who were also linked to the Serbian international this past winter. The Hammers have gotten good production out of Michail Antonio this season, as the England international has scored nine goals with five assists as West Ham’s overall leader in goal contributions.

But West Ham need an out-and-out striker who can offer well over double-digit goals per season. They weren’t patient with Sebastien Haller, Jovic’s former teammate at Eintracht Frankfurt. Haller was a classy striker for Eintracht and so good that Ajax signed him this winter, and they rarely sign established players.

Maybe West Ham will feel some trepidation given how Haller worked out, but Jovic should still pique their interest. He is 23 and has the tools to make a great partnership with Antonio, providing the extra goals that West Ham need in order to truly compete at the top in the Premier League. They’ve been great this season and are in the thick of the Champions League battle, but if they want to stay on top, they need a great attacker. Think of them as being in a similar position to Milan. Jovic could be a great signing for the Hammers.
