Dortmund FW Jadon Sancho

You may be wondering why I have immediately followed up Kylian Mbappe with Jadon Sancho instead of selecting another Borussia Dortmund superstar in striker Erling Haaland. But that’s because it seems as if Haaland won’t be moving in 2021, based on the hard-line stance drawn up by Die Schwartzgelben. They don’t want to sell until 2022.

That could change if Dortmund won’t make the Champions League, but they have rallied recently. And they fought for a huge 3-2 win over second-place RB Leipzig this weekend, courtesy of a brace, including a late winner, from Jadon Sancho.

The England international flies under the radar because of Haaland’s explosion, but he has been one of the best players in the world over the past three years. Sancho dominates in chance-creation and progressive carries, and he can score, too. Since the start of the 2018-2019 season, Sancho has been right there with Mbappe as one of the best young players on the planet.

Sancho is also affordable. Dortmund did not sell him last year, so they have a “gentleman’s agreement” to sell Sancho at a reduced price this summer, which would help facilitate a deal to his club of choice. Manchester United could be the ultimate destination, but Real Madrid absolutely must be in the mix.
