Tottenham LW Son Heung-Min

In all honesty, Son Heung-Min is an even more unrealistic Premier League winger signing for Real Madrid than Mohamed Salah. Hell, even his world-class teammate, Harry Kane, is technically more likely to go to the Santiago Bernabeu than the South Korean superstar, given the rumors that have linked the striker to Real.

However, Son is a fabulous player and someone who is on the wishlist of many Madridistas. He is one of the most explosive athletes in the Premier League, as he can turn it up from 0 to 100 on counterattacks, creating goals from nothing in a flash. Who can forget some of the magical goals he has scored in the past three seasons, starting with his breakout 2018-2019 campaign when Spurs reached the Champions League Final under Mauricio Pochettino amidst Kane’s injuries?

Son is having another exceptional season for Spurs in 2020-2021, even if Kane is getting more headlines. The 28-year-old has 18 goals and 10 assists. Per WhoScored.com, he is also averaging two key passes per game, which is highly impressive for a player who so regularly contributes goals to a Spurs attack that is essentially carried by Kane and Son.

The window for Son to make a big move to an elite club like Real Madrid is narrowing, and Spurs would ask for a fortune. But the dream is worth keeping alive. Son’s great finishing and ability to score from nothing would make him a devastating addition to Real’s attack. Benzema would finally have someone who can anticipate plays as he does and act quickly, ready to receive his precision passes when Real break up the pitch.
