Real Madrid getting the full three points again

Real Madrid defeated Athletic Club 3-1 earlier this season at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano, and while heading to San Mames and winning is tougher, it is exactly what champions must do. In fact, it is what Los Blancos did last season in the summer on their march to their 34th LaLiga title, defeating Bilbao 1-0 on the road after Dani Carvajal drew a penalty.

It could be another ugly game against Bilbao. It seems like every big game at the lion’s den is. But it does not matter if it is a rugged match or a free-flowing one. Real Madrid will get the job done. They especially relish these kinds of uglier matches, and they’ll have a motivated Fede Valverde in the starting lineup, coming off a great start against Granada. He loves a good fight.

There’s a lot of speculation surrounding Zinedine Zidane’s future, but the players won’t be focused on that. And neither should you. There is a title race to be won. Everyone must play their role, from defense to attack, young and old. Real Madrid have stood resolute in this incredibly testing season with injuries and COVID-19 absences, but they will not be clouds hanging over Matchday 37. If anything, they will serve as yet another source of motivation for Real Madrid, who are ready to prevail against the odds. You can feel their heart.
