Militao is playing the best football of his life right at the exact time Los Merengues needed him the most. The 23-year-old center back joined Real for 50 million euros from FC Porto, and after a solid first season, he has blossomed in the final months of the 2020-2021 campaign after there were transfer rumors regarding his future.

Those rumors are 100 percent dead in the water now. Militao has been sensational. He shut down Inaki Williams at San Mames in a must-win match for a second year in a row, and he was also excellent against Granada and Sevilla despite surrendering an unlucky penalty in the latter fixture. And who can forget his attacking prowess in the 2-0 win over Osasuna?

Militao is becoming a star for Los Blancos, and no single player has stepped up to the challenge more during the LaLiga title race than the Brazilian center back.
