Promote Real Madrid Castilla players like Arribas, Miguel, and Blanco

Real Madrid Castilla has had a highly successful 2020-21 season, with the club almost making it to the Segunda, only for the club to falter at the penultimate step. Raul and his boys have put in an excellent shift this season, with talented players like Miguel Gutierrez, Antonio Blanco, and Sergio Arribas showing their potential and Raul showing his worth as a manager, with him being a possible contender to replace Zidane as the first-team manager, if the Frenchman leaves.

Miguel Gutierrez has proven his worth while playing for Castilla as well as the first team in the recent weeks, with him starting the two previous LaLiga fixtures of Real Madrid. It didn’t take long for him to show his potential, as he assisted Luka Modric’s goal vs Granada after just 16 minutes, with a beautiful chipped pass. He has also made his case as a possible replacement for Marcelo, who might end up leaving Real Madrid this summer.

Antonio Blanco has done the same, as he got made the best out of the limited opportunities he got. He started two games for Real Madrid and played with all his heart, giving his best on the pitch and helping the team win both games. There were glimpses of Xabi Alonso in his gameplay, and he is seen by many as a star in the making.

Sergio Arribas couldn’t get a lot of opportunities with the first team, but he had shown his level with Castilla, and he has the potential to be one of the best players of the next generation. Besides being highly talented, these three players are Spanish players, which gives the club further impetus to promote them to the first team next season.

There are few more talents like Marvin Park, Victor Chust, and Hugo Duro (who is on loan from Getafe and yet to be signed by the club). But in my opinion, they need more time to develop, and it might be better for them to go out on loan and gain experience. Next year the club might have even more options available, with a potentially generational talent like Israel Salazar rising up the ranks.
