TIME TO MANAGE A NATIONAL TEAM?

Zinedine Zidane and his love for French players is a well-known story. Players such as Kylian Mbappe, Houssem Aouar, Eduardo Camavinga, Paul Pogba have all been linked with a move to Real recently and they all are of French nationality to support my previous statement.

Nonetheless, the 48-year-old could possibly become the next manager of the national team. Didier Deschamps has even admitted in the past that his successor could be none other than Zizou.

Deschamps is on contract with Les Blues until December 2022. However, if France fails to win the upcoming Euro 2020, then Deschamps could be relieved of his duties and Zinedine Zidane could be next in line.

A shot at the national team with France could further extend his legacy as a player and a manager. As a player, Zidane won the World Cup in 1998, Euro’s in 2000 and took them to the final of the World Cup in 2006 against Italy.

He could possibly go down as the greatest ever Frenchman footballer or athlete if he guides Les Bleus to the World Cup in 2022. So far, Zizou has won a trophy every season during his short managerial career barring this season that ended trophyless due to the extreme adversities the club faced in terms of injuries.
